That’s pretty ambitious! They say the cow outweighs the badger 4:1, looks more like 8-10:1 to me.
The amazing thing was how it buried it. I expected to see it heap dirt onto the carcass until it was buried in a mound. Instead it undermined it until it literally sank into the ground. Probably keeps the meat fresher longer as well as putting out of reach of all the other carrion eaters.
An ordinary cow would weigh about 1000 lbs; an ordinary badger about 30 lbs. That would be 33 to 1. They must be thinking linear measurement instead of weight.
