Sadly, that’s true. Hungarian history is filled with stories of resistance against invaders. Take 1956 as just one example. But to pick an Hungarian out of a lineup, that’s easy. Just pick the best-looking person. (My grandparents were Hungarian, so maybe I’m a little bit biased here!)

Oh yes, from small skirmishes with the ancient Roman army, to Attila the Hun ( who, unlike most of its conquerors, stayed, his troop stayed too and intermarried, with the populace and actually became "HUNGARIAN"! :-)

The '56 Revolution was a heart breaker! I was just a kid, but I cried, as I watched the News about it, on the news.

Many Hungarians and those of Hungarian descent, are, indeed, beautiful/pretty/handsome peoples. OTOH, every ethnicity also has their "uglies". ;^)

Hungarian women ARE and have ALWAYS been known, world wide, for their beautiful skin!

My maternal side, is pure, unadulterated Hungarian ( as far as one can go)/of Hungarian descent, until my mother married my father, who was only 1/2 Hungarian and 1/2 German.

LOL...I'm a tad biased as well, but the fact is, yes, the Magyars, as a whole, were and have always been a handsome lot and I'm certain that you and your family members hew to that generalization.
