OMG! What a heavenly story! I will add Hungary to my top three favorite countries, outside of the USA! Always said, if I must flee and fight there was only always Israel and always Poland! May God bless Hungary, richly, for what they have done.
As you can see, I am proud of my Hungarian heritage, but was raised to be a VERY PROUD, PATRIOTIC American; no hyphens for me, nor my family, who have been American for many, many, many generations.
And Hungarian pastry/deserts are THE best in the entire world. :-)
