We have said for years that the US switched sides in the "war on terror" under Obama. Now, finally, we are switching back.
It is some really toxic foreign policy that allowed Assad to become the good guy, and us to ally ourselves with Al Qaeda and ISIS. There were probably good reasons to push Assad from power but once you choose Al Qaeda as your allies, you've lost the plot.

And our European NATO allies, France and Germany in particular, have allowed themselves to be overrun and occupied by *refugee* footsoldiers from the area.
