Contributory negligence on the part of the plaintiffs. Anyone who consents to a major upgrade and does not back up their programs and data before proceeding cannot recover for damage to their programs and data. MS is right about this one.

My next-door neighbors had their machine upgraded to 10 without ANY input from them.

So I would kind of consider that to be a problem.

Some of my clients had the same happen to them. Huge problem when some of their expensive CAD software isn't compatible with Win 10. They purposely hadn't updated because they knew their old software wasn't compatible and didn't want to pay lots of $$$ to update to a newer version.
