In this case? Yes. Trump cannot give the conservitive base a full repeal of Obamacare at this time because there isn’t 60 GOP votes in the Senate. By refusing to compromise and asking for the impossible the FC is only hurting the country our brand. On the other hand the majority of them dems and a few republicans would jump at single payer and stop the bleeding from Obamacare.

Exactly! The Dims will NEVER give Trump ANYTHING! They will live out the next four years believing that they've finally "got the goods" on Trump for his impeachment and that they will then install "Killery in the WH where she belongs" (because the average Dim idiot on the interwebz actually believes this). Trump is only saying this because he is all about leverage and making Republicans in Congress feel that they will be left out ("Art of the Deal" .. it's in his book).
