Waffle House employees get into intense brawl in front of customers (video)

A video of two Waffle House employees wildly fighting inside the restaurant as customers look on is going viral.

Robert Payne posted the video on Facebook showing two employees brawling behind the counter at a Waffle House in Auburn, Ala.

The women are seen tussling across the floor, hitting each other with what appears to be a spatula and other items behind the counter.

At one point, the video shows one of the women with her knee on the other’s neck, pinning her down to the floor. The video continues for nearly four minutes, with both women arguing, yelling obscenities and making death threats toward each other.

Payne said he and his wife had just sat down and ordered their food just before the fight began. There were about 10 to 12 customers there at the time, Payne said.

“We could sense the tension in the air when we walked in,” he said.

Leading up to the fight, Payne said he saw one of the women walk over to the other, who was standing in front of the dishwasher, and ask her to move. That’s when the women began to argue and then the fight broke out.

Payne said he immediately pulled out his phone and started recording. He added that he was going to stop the fight, but stayed out of it once his wife pointed out that the women could have knives.

Does Chuck E. Cheese or Waffle House get more brawls? Someone should do a study

Properly worded, I see a government grant in here somewhere.

This happened in Auburn , Ala..

This is the place where Bo Jackson came out at halftime and was asked to show what he learned. they asked him what is 2+3 and he said 5... The crowd stood in unison and starting chanting “Give him another chance.. Give him another chance!!”

These are Plainsmen on full display here.

“Two employees probably cycling together.”

Combine that with poor impulse control...

One overheard the other deprecating the writings of Proust. Naturally, violence was the only resort.

Or it could just be a low rent version of Hells Kitchen.

To be honest, I always thought the Waffle House waffles were pretty terrible. But then I make a pretty good waffle.

Never been in one.

They seem to have skipped over the Northern Plains and Rockies.

Every culture has its downside.

You, on the other hand-—books, music, theater, couture...and now waffles too!

Waffle House is mostly in the South. Per Wikipedia:

Although the Waffle House chain is concentrated in the Southeast, it has reached as far to the north as Austinburg, Ohio, near Ashtabula, as far to the west as Goodyear, Arizona, in the suburbs of Phoenix, as far to the south as Key West, Florida, and as far to the east as the Atlantic Ocean at many points along the East Coast between Florida and Pennsylvania.

Yessir.

And there are even some Stuckey’s left too, right?

Last time I was South, and it was a couple decades ago, my old story-telling English professer, a native of Smith County Miss., introduced me to the joy of the boiled peanut.

‘Course I was still drinkin’ then too....

Old memories. I haven't seen a Stuckey's in years and can't remember where that was. I suspect it was the one in Warsaw, NC - lol! According to their website, food service is now by Arby's and Dunkin Donuts!!!!

Anyhow, Wikipedia says

In 1964, Stuckey's merged with Pet, Inc., maker of Pet Milk.[3] The company at its peak had over 350 locations, which dwindled to fewer than 75 after a decline in the late 1970s under ownership by Pet. It was repurchased by former Congressman W.S. Stuckey, Jr., in 1985. As of May 2015, Stuckey's has over 115 franchise stores in 17 states.

Whenever I travel south, I always look for the first Waffle House sign - those iconic yellow signs that mean more to me than the Mason/Dixon signs. I’m actually on the Waffle House ping list here.
