Life won’t be nearly long enough for anyone who thinks the Golden Rule is “nonsense.”

Jared Kushner, Beware of Jamie Gorelick
American Thinker, January 17, 2017
"...More than a few of my Washington allies noticed a seemingly unremarkable bit of news in a Monday Washington Post article that they thought I ought to see. The article concerned Jared Kushner’s appointment as adviser to his father-in-law Donald Trump.

The appointment did not trouble my friends. What troubled them was the Post’s casual mention that Kushner’s attorney was none other than Jamie Gorelick, deputy attorney general under President Bill Clinton. Observed the Post, Gorelick “is confident that the anti-nepotism statute does not cover Trump's appointment of Kushner.”

Nepotism was the thrust of the article. The Post made no allusion to the concerns my friends and I have about this relationship. I assured them that Kushner probably does not know Gorelick’s history. I write this to make him aware of why bloggers have taken to calling Gorelick, "The Mistress of Disaster."

Some recent highlights. In 2014, it was revealed that the George Soros-funded Urban Institute had an officially sanctioned role in the vetting of non-profits that seek tax-exempt status through the IRS. Gorelick was the vice-chairman of the Urban Institute board..........."

A sincere question. Why would I need Bible info from a person who has gratuitously insulted me and called me names? Those are not the traits of a Christian mentor.

I understand that, and totally agree. That fact, however, gives no Christian an out, or excuse, for neglecting the commands of Christ. Christians must, for example, apply the Golden Rule in day to day interactions. It’s an imperative, not an option.

Jesus underscored the imperative nature of it in His teaching re the Day of Judgement (Matt 25). The Lord divides the sheep from the goats based on how they treated “the least among” them. Those who showed love, care and kindness were to inherit the [heavenly] kingdom prepared for them, while those who neglected the needs of “the least among” them were condemned. It’s a sobering passage.

The kindest thing then, that can be done for you, as have indeed done.

I read your comment twice. It’s unclear what exactly you meant. If you’re trying to say that the nane-calling and insults “have indeed been done,” I’d agree with you.

Give it up. No one is listening. You’re wasting your time yammering on about yourself.

It’s just not productive.

This is not the first time you’ve issued commands. Post 103 contains these gems:

‘I’ve already give you instructions as to what to do. So go do it.’

You come across as some kind of Super-Moderator, who issues instructions and commands at will, while expecting others to ‘obey.’

You keep asking questions that are answered by reading the thread. That’s the point. You were told over and over again.

So, I’m telling you now though, again, in case you missed it: go read the thread if you have questions.

Then do yourself a favor and stop spamming. No one is interested in petty blah blah blah.

The thread contains numerous snotty, snarky, rude comments—not to mention some truly uncalled for screaming—and no, those comments are not mine. Why would anybody want to read—or reread—that crud? It does the site no credit.

Then stop being a screamer.

See how easy it is?

When someone screams online, it is by using all-caps. In the case of this thread, it happened again and again. Online yelling of that kind, is rude at best.

Most people do notice online screaming. The upside for the screamer is that it not infrequently works. Normal, decent people are uncomfortable around screamers. They will often let the point stand simply to get away from the all-caps-with-exclamation-points verbal onslaught.

The downside is that the screamer look either like a bully, or more often, simply unhinged.

In real life, Hillary is a good example of a screamer. When the facts turn against her, she turns up the emotional/verbal volume as a form of intimidation. If, for example, a congressman is grilling her about Benghazi and backing her into a corner, she will up the emotionsl/decibel level of her irrational reply. It is a well calculated form of manipulation.
