How old are you? And was your autism self-diagnosed or diagnosed by a doctor?
As of 10-15 years ago, autism began to be overdiagnosed.
It became an excuse for bratty behavior from children raised by permissive parents. When these aforementioned brats began having children, the behavior mutated into the SJWs we ridicule today.
I say this as a parent whose child was “medically” diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. He exhibited these supposed markers when I realized he was not spending enough time with peers and was therefore socially retarded. He also played (and still plays) too many video games.
He is now 26 and fairly well adjusted, enough to hold down an extremely well paying mechanical engineering job.
I’m 31. Diagnosed by a psychiatrist at age 23.
And believe me, I resisted believing the diagnosis for as long as I possibly could. It made my life painfully more complicated to accept it.
Fortunately it’s not an overly severe case. With a little medication and a lot of training, I am living in the world much better than before. It’s still a daily struggle with severe social anxiety though.
