The old party and new party are one and the same.
The old party used government to enforce slavery. Suppose the government took the position that a slave owner could have slaves. But that if his slaves left his plantation, those slaves had all the rights of non-slaves. In other words, a reveral of famous court decisions.
Slavery (on a big scale) only works if it is government that enforces slavery.
Slavery exists because some people think they are smarter and better than other people and therefore are best qualified to make decisions for other people.
The old party and new party are the same.
