[[I have read that Win 10 has had the slowest adoption rate of any MSFT OS. Interesting chart from]]
No doubt due to the damned ‘phone home’ crap in the OS- typical home users won’t care, or even know about it- but them ore experienced users stayed away from 10 for that very reason- andm ore are likely to not get it now that all the spying crap by the government and google and such has been revealed-
Three things, primarily, are stopping me from upgrading from Win 7 to Win 10:
- MSFT's over-intrusive telemetry.
- I no longer have any say about what updates are applied to my machine.
- MSFT's increasingly snooty attitude:
- "Bend over here it comes whether you're ready or not."
- "We'll decide which processors will support our software."
I'm using Win 7 with all updates turned off, good firewall and AV software installed. Make daily and weekly backups. Clone the system drive once a week. Careful where I go on the 'Net. Delete, without opening, suspicious emails I'm not expecting.
No problems.
