We Texans share probably 1/3 of our wildflower base with y’all. I’m particularly enthralled by your CA Yellow Poppies, we grow the red here, a little more heat-tolerant. I’d reckon your show this year will be something else. Ours is lookin’ great, too.

I agree, your estimate is probably much more accurate, which was why I said “or less”.
I weigh bullets and gun powder by the “grain”. The unit of measure is a old English method where someone actually counted out how many grains of wheat there are in a pound, which is 7,000 by that old standard. I just did the math at 7,000 grains of wheat and came up with my 7 ton figure, knowing full well a kernel of wheat is several times larger than a wildflower seed, which makes the tonnage even less.
So considering your 100 pound estimate is much more accurate, it makes their claim of 100 million seeds quite silly and more on the order of propaganda.
Freepers have used and trusted MSNBC for factual and timely reporting of nothing but the facts for years now.
We’ve had a honey bee “crisis” for how many years now? Ten? Can you name the food shortages? The crop failures? Would you mind posting that information for us?

When is your wonderful bluebell season?
Bluebonnet - which is actually just a blue Lupine - they are 6” and blooming and will turn the countryside the right kind of blue from Apr1 - Jun 1. There’s a very good chance Cheerios got their seeds from Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg, in the peach (thank you German immigrants) sector of the Hill Country.
That area is now swarming with vineyards.

Makes the best honey, too. Bluebonnets are a legume which enrich the soil via the exclusive ability to fix unavailable atmospheric nitrogen in special roots that only legumes have. That’s why they’re used as cover crops. Bluebonnets disappear completely once it heats up, making way for the reds and yellows that grow with them in the soil they pre-fertilized for their companions.
Oh, one more thing. Buffalo grounds produced the best shows, as the the seeds are extremly hard, and their hooves crushing them and digestive tract enzyming the seed wall sent populations exploding wherever they roamed.
