My Family has been involved in the RR since the beginning. We (especially the boys) were taught from a young age to NEVER play on the tracks.

There's something very deceptive about trains - speed, spound, size- and by the time you realize you're in peril, you're done.

I have my Grandfather's log books- a lot of people died on those tracks.

we played on everything. high speed, keep your ears open, i think we did pennies on these. low speed, squashing pennies. creeks, cliffs, we had broken record fights like frisbees . i have no idea how i survived. but it was fun and i was mostly cautious. other stories not willing to publish.
