worst and funniest camping trip i ever had involved both cold and wet conditions back in 80’s.
Good friends and great times, laugh about it to this day, take the good with the bad , regal the younger crowd with how difficult we had it.

If down the road you can laugh about it, how bad could it be. I am not pushing up daisies so thank God, I still have my life.

My life slogan is “It’s not an adventure until something goes wrong.”

Basically, I maintain that you always remember the difficulties and easily forget the things that went perfectly.

As an example, I used to run a junior high ski trip. I went skiing hundreds of times. I remember very few of them. But, I also remember a ski trip when I was ten years old. On the way back to the hotel, the car overheated. All we had for liquid was a large bottle of Sprite (pre-2-litre days). Into the radiator it went. Shortly thereafter, we got to the hotel.

That was a grand adventure for a ten year old.

I camp 20 or so nights a year and have some good stories, but the best ones revolve around solving problems.
