Gov Malloy (CT) closed all CT roads until further notice starting at 0500.

What this means:

You get in an accident not even your fault and your insurance does not have to pay. In fact your own insurance company can sue you in addition to the other party insurance company.

You get in an accident 100% the other persons fault and they are an authorized road user you can be sued into total bankruptcy by the other party and your insurance company won’t back you.

You have no healthcare insurance if you get in an accident when you are not authorized to be on a state closed road.

Life insurance MAY not have to pay your estate if you get killed as this can argued as a form of suicide.

I’l bet you thought closing state roads was to protect it’s citizens and not the insurance companies didn’t you?

Thanks for this information. De Blasio rumored to be even closing the subway. I guess if you die of starvation waiting for it, no life insurance payout.

The emperor wants it to look like he is doing *something*. What a putz.

Last Friday, all the CT school supers listened to all the dire snow storm forecasts; cancelled school..kids will be going until July. We got nothing. LOL

Actually I'm encouraged by your post (if true).

I was never an advocate of "no fault" insurance and believe we should have more competition that will drive down the premiums for responsible drivers while high-risk accident-prone drivers pay more.

Same with medical insurance. I don't like paying high premiums so others can go running to the doctor every time they get the sniffles or stub their toe. I only go to the doctor when absolutely necessary - which means almost never. I also take care of myself so that I do not have to take a dozen pills a day for blood pressure, diabetes, etc. So my premiums should be lower.
