Went out earlier, and cleaned the snow off my car, and used a broom to sweep away as much of the snow as I could so I could open the car door. All total, we got 18-24 inches. I had to knock down and stomp down on all the snow that had been plowed into the front of my car, but she started right up, and it only took me a few times of going forward, and then into reverse, to get enough momentum to drive her out. She's parked in a nice clean spot, and the guy just came and plowed my handicap spot, so when I go out to the post office in a couple of hours, I can back right into my assigned spot. We're supposed to have snow showers the next two days, then sunny on Friday, then snow showers again all weekend.

My oldest son lives in Troy, NY, and has to park on the street. He started digging his car out at 6:30 this morning, and when I talked to him at 10:30 this morning, he was still at it. He may end up staying home again today. The whole street side of the car was buried by the snow plows up to the roof of the car. And because there's no place to put the snow, he has to carry each shovel full elsewhere to dump it. He's 50, and has rheumatoid arthritis.

It’ll be the same story all over the state.

For all the whining about how the NWS dropped the ball on this storm and over estimated it, they sure didn’t for most of the region.

They called it right on for this one.
