Both Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb are taking off from their TODAY show post this month, and neither have plans to return, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
While Kotb, 52, is on maternity leave following the surprise adoption of infant daughter Haley Joy, Gifford, 63, is celebrating her 26-year-old son Cody’s graduation from his master’s program in the United Kingdom for two weeks.
TODAY producers are panicking as the “inexperienced” Jenna Bush Hager and guest cohosts handle the 10 am eastern fourth hour, and have begged the two women to come back — but neither headstrong cohost is willing to drop their personal plans.
Kathie Lee booked her time off months ago, before Hoda told anyone she was adopting. She isn’t going to cut her vacation short,” a show insider told Radar.
Meanwhile, Kotb, 52, and her daughter are cherishing the baby’s first weeks home.
“She’s not going to leave her apartment without the baby,” the source said.
Neither Kotb nor Gifford feel an ounce of guilt over her decision.
I still don’t get what the thing with Megyn Kelly is. Why don’t they plug her in if the other two are gone? Not getting this?
It’s bizarre but she took maternity leave to be with her adopted child. So she can have more time off.
Kathie is an nice woman. She is a class act.

Thanks; this was a great state at one type, a perfect mix of mountains, farms, and seashore, but it has devolved into a freak show...

Upstate is beautiful (I’ve camped there often as an adult, and vacationed there often as a child); sadly, just too few lucrative jobs - and as I get older I’d hate the winters.
Relatives from Europe have marveled at the beauty of the Adirondacks.
NJ is so lame we actually have a “West New York” - and you wouldn’t want to be mistaken for living in West New York. It is in my county (Hudson), as are “North Bergen” (Bergen County is north of us) and “East Newark” (Newark NJ is in neighboring Essex County).
yeah the North Country truly is wonderful and we've vacationed there for for years, specially when the kids were little/growing up it was at least once a year if not twice but i like it at Seneca, just east enough to miss 90% of the lake effect snow and just west enough to miss all but the big nor'easter now and again, but it looks like we're gonna get clobbered ~tus-thurs next week

Oh, that’s really west in comparison. Nice country out there as well, but I’ve only passed through on my way to Ontario (for vacation) or Pulaski (for the fishing).

Oh, it was great; the 4 1/2 ride was worth it. Seems pretty desolate in the winter...
