I don’t give a rat’s behind which gender Ellen favors for sexual gratification. She’s a good person and she goes about her life without pushing an agenda other than promoting good people being good to one another.
I saw a recent clip (the only times I truly view her program) where she brought on a young fellow who pulled an injured police officer from his burning cruiser after a wreck. And she, in her own way, rewarded the young guy and also helped out the injured officer.
Personally, I have a friend who is gay. I’ve known him all my life. He’s one of very few people, gay or straight, who I can count on for truth, honesty and friendship. Now, he knows that I couldn’t be counted on to march in any of his parades, but he also knows that if any idiot tried to push him around, I’d be there to kill his assailant.
Just like you and me and who we tend to favor, there are dopes of all persuasions. I do not get along with anybody (no matter what persuasion or their proclivities) who gets in my face and demands my approval. My friend, like Ellen, does not demand anything from me and I do not require his assent in what I do. And in Ellen’s case, she’s promoting a business and product line which is geared to all. We know who she is and therefore, she has no “hidden agenda”.
Bottom line... Just as I will enjoy music despite an artist’s political agenda, I will also take my 20% off coupons to BB&B if it means getting $40 knocked off a set of Calphalon pots and pans.
We won the election. It’s a start. You’re winning. Act like it. Don’t be like the screeching liberal protestors you abhor.
Okay, now. Flame away...
I appreciated your post 30. We have to remember that God is Love and not be overly harsh on others who are different—even in the arena of immorality. I recall reading handmade signs fro Westboro Baptist Church (those crazies) written as ‘God hates Fags’. Makes me cringe because its a bad witness to others in need of His Love and mercy. Dealing with the sinner in my mirror deserves my harshest criticisms.
Ellen is a world different from Rosie O’Donnell was far as pushing an agenda.
If I need something there, I will shop there. If I don’t, I won’t. I could care less who their spokesholes are. It’s the product I want, not some celebutard’s paycheck of promotion.
Love your post.
I would fight to the death for the right of any American to live the lifestyle they choose. I want the same right for myself.
And no, I don’t mean bestiality or Sharia or pedo. No hurting innocents.
