Barthelemy, 36, is charged with attempted first-degree murder in what authorities say was a premeditated decision to try killing a police officer.

Jurors were promised they will hear from Joseph "Renegade" Wilson, who was in the SUV with Barthelemy and Adams. Prosecutors said Wilson will testify that Barthelemy stated his intention to kill a police officer after spotting Smith outside the po-boy shop.

It was a targeted shooting of a Police Officer.
