They aren’t stable without augmentation devices. Look up some naval architect articles about them. Super top heavy, very low draft. They violate all kinds of historical rules.
The Imperial Japanese Navy lost a ship in the 1930’s due to the fact it was top heavy. It just turned over. I believe-from memory-it was a Kongo Class ship.
