The Big Bang is man’s feeble attempt to explain the universe...remember we had that “dark matter” explanation that has recently fallen out of favor. A more realistic explanation would be the gradual decay of the speed of light over great times and distances, thus explaining why the universe seems to be expanding more rapidly the further away we look. In reality it is a steady state universe.
