Well at least you agree that evil powerful
Pederasts do exist.
Good start...
Absolutely. They are the worst of he worst. They attack and permanently scar the most defenseless of victims.
The penalty of such activity should be an absolute minimum of 20 years in prison. Release should be contingent on proof that the perpetrator is no longer a danger to children. Restriction on movement and free association, usually guaranteed by the Constitution, are certainly reasonable considering the level of continued re-offense. (Such is also true of “fire-bug” arsonists.)
But it’s because pedophilia is such a heinous crime, that any accusation of it must be be based on proof beyond a reasonable doubt, rather than just foolish internet rumor, lest the public ever get immune to such charge, and therefore think the next real accusation of child sexual abuse is as spurious as some have been in the (recent) past.
The toxic false pedophilia charges of the 80s (and the Tulia drug arrests) are the Salem Witchcraft Trials of our times.
If a person is proven guilty of pedophilia, lock them up, maybe forever, but we must be damned sure of any such accusation.
