You probably did. Classic (pre-2005) Doctor Who episodes are only 22 minutes long, but a single story is presented over a “series” that is 3 to 10 episodes long. New Doctor Who episodes are typically one hour long, although two-parters are common, and there tends to be series-long story arcs. And, of course, the premise has been added to over decades.

Some of Who were in black and white. I saw some Are You Being Served? early episodes, also in B/W. Both in the 90’s, on PBS.
