7TH Update, Sunday 10:56 PM: Logan is getting larger. Rival estimates tonight see the Hugh Jackman movie on course for an $87.56M opening after a $23.2M Sunday. That’s 10% higher than the $21M Fox was expecting today, with Wolverine’s third day down just 26% from Saturday’s $31.3M.

One is going to see more R-rates comic book movies with the success of this and "Deadpool". Mr. Jackman took a pay cut to make a R-rated movie. I hope there is percentages in the contract because it looks the BO is not being affected at all.

These movies have grown boring. Half hour of weak and same old storylines with the rest dedicated to the fight scenes.

All the bad guys were white.
All the good guys were illegal immigrant minorities.

And what were the bad guys doing? Controlling the world with GMO foods and high fructose corn syrup. I’m not kidding.

They had a chance to make some poignant statements about heroes making wrong choices and dealing with them and regrets and finding redemption and how to face death and old age and... I got a story about evil corporations controlling the world with soda sales and how children are smarter than experienced adults.

Bleh.

I think Hollywood needs to remake Batman, Superman, King Kong, Captain America, Thor etc and do a story of their origin but with a female in the lead.
Wonder Woman and Supergirl would be dudes....
