I agree. Many children are leading miserable lives, thanks to the “personal choices” of adults, and claiming “transgender” is a guaranteed way to get lots of attention and affirmation.
I often wonder how much access to the internet and social media have to do with the general state of kids today, at least in the West. On the other hand, seeing a group of kids just sitting there not interacting in real life while they look at their phones may seem weird to me just because that stuff wasn’t available back in the day. It certainly seems like it would be pretty dehumanizing and alienating though. Maybe social media just isn’t good for the human brain, we certainly didn’t develop with these capabilities.
