In an interview on "The View," actor Patrick Stewart said he is applying to become a U.S. citizen in order to help fight back against President Trump.
While recounting a recent visit to Washington D.C., Stewart said he had "the worst night's sleep for years and years and years," joking that President Trump might have been to blame.
Stewart referenced his tweet to "The View" hosts, calling it fairly innocent, and saying he did not directly insult your president."
Not mine, Whoopi Goldberg said in response. When host Joy Behar asked if the English actor would be willing to take Trump off Americans hands, Stewart joked, We have our own problems."
Im not a [U.S.] citizen, Stewart said. However, there is, maybe its the only good thing, as the result of this election: I am now applying for citizenship. Because I want to be an American too.
All of my friends in Washington said, There is one thing you can do. Fight, fight, oppose, oppose, Stewart said.

He’s just playing to his peer group. He’s an actor. You can bet your bottom dollar that what you see is not genuine. “Fake fake fake,” it’s what he does for a living.

If Stewart has dementia, his accountant certainly doesn’t.

“Because I want to be an American too.
Very telling statement.
Doesn’t just want to be an American. Wants to be an American, too.
All immigrants should be required to renounce any other citizenship.

There are a lot of people around the globe that think that they should be able to vote in US elections, because as they say, “What the US does affects them.”

    My thinking is very similar.

Ironically in "Safe House" Patrick Stewart played an ex-secret agent with dementia who was holding on to evidence of a corrupt presidential candidate. Now this was 1998, right after the most scandal ridden president in history, Bill Clinton.

So naturally it's a Republican candidate that's corrupt. And when it comes out, the news is say "worst scandal since Watergate..." Really? I saw this thing and it was such a blatant propaganda movie I knew then that Stewart was off the beam politically - full wacko.

Reviewing his acting skills in my memory I realized he's mediocre. He'd be ok as a hotel clerk or whatever but not really star material. The last is just my opinion, however.

They need a special episode to send Picard to an alternate universe from which he can’t escape.

Kirk was my boyhood hero. A true American space cowboy. Picard is a disgusting wannabee.
