When I saw that Zippo bought this place in DC I remembered he bought a place in Hawaii, or least that is what I thought. Well I was wrong in a way.

There were rumors he was buying Magnum PI's house but it turns out his buddy Marty Nesbitt did.

Magnum, PI house in Hawaii sold to Obama's close friend from Chicago about 3 short months before Trump entered the race.

I did some checking and on the last vaca to HI the Zippo's did not stay at the new place. Hmmm

But I did find this about Mr Nesbitt. Bid to buy for-profit college by former Obama insiders raises questions

The investors include a private equity firm founded and run by longtime Obama friend Marty Nesbitt and former Deputy Education Secretary Tony Miller. The firm, Chicago-based Vistria Group, has mounted a charm offensive on Capitol Hill to talk up the proposed sale of the troubled for-profit education giant, which receives more than $2 billion a year in taxpayer money but is under investigation by three state attorneys general and the FTC.

The shares of Apollo Education Group, which owns the university, sold at $87 when Zippo was inaugurated, have sunk to less than $10 a piece. But I digress

So while digging around the real estate dealings of Zippo I found this. Clintons Buy the House Next Door in Chappaqua I know it's old but thought I'd throw that in there FWIW.

I guess my thinking is that both Zippo and Hillaroid had plans that changed....
