I forget, what does the bible say about situations like this.

Deuteronomy 25:5

If brothers are living together and one of them dies without a son, his widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband’s brother shall take her and marry her and fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to her.

Beau Biden had a son, so Dt 25:5 wouldn’t apply under any circumstances.

I don't think these "duties" applied if the said brother-in-law was still married to his own wife at the time. Then again, there was all kinds of polygamy being practiced in the Old Testament.

Would I be ok with the Bible if I said “No thank you. I prefer not to have sex with my late brother’s widow”?
