In his closing speech at the Berlin palestinian terrorist Olympics Avery Brundage said it was a very successful Olympics.
Chamberlain knew war was inevitable. But at the time Britain was in no shape to fight.
But Chamberlain made damned sure afterwards that Britain would be ready in due time.
