That's the part you object to? It's kind of a non-statement. Of course people are going to disagree about what would be the "best" country, gender, religion or color if they want to decide that, but the statement doesn't have much to do with what's going on now. It's irrelevant and pointless.

But then there's this:

"The fear generated by dividing us into genders, colors, religions and sexualities as a means to justify violence destroys the things that we depend on — not only as artists but as humans: the diversity of cultures, the chance to be enriched by something seemingly 'foreign' and the belief that human encounters can change us for the better," the statement continued.

Just who is "dividing us into genders, colors, religions, and sexualities?" I'm pretty sure that's been going on a lot longer than just recently, and pretty sure Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama targeted their appeals to gender, racial, religious, and sexual orientation groups.

I didn’t read that far but, they are the one objectifying, which divides people.

It’s like some people I know who say “let’s invite the gays”.

I cringe when I hear it.

These are people who have names, an identity, mom and dad, siblings, friends, jobs and share common interests and humor.

They aren’t gay 24/7 as a matter of the whole person.

It would be like saying “Let’s invite the blacks”.

Just a little offensive...
