The story of Milo Yiannopoulos’s fall from conservative grace ended when a conservative blog posted video footage of him making comments that seemed to rationalize pedophilia. But it started when a 16-year-old high school student in Canada decided Yiannopoulos was embraced much too closely by mainstream conservatives.
The teen was moved to dig up footage on Yiannopoulos when she heard that he’d been invited to speak at the highest profile gathering of conservatives each year in America, the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). She defines herself as “very socially liberal,” but leans right on economics and foreign policy. Yiannopoulos, who has built his personal brand on anti-Muslim, anti-feminism, and general bigotry, exemplifies the place where she doesn’t believe the conservative movement should go.
“I see Milo as this embodiment of the awfulness you see over the past few years with the general tilt of millennial conservatism,” said the teen. “It’s diverged from this traditional conservatism so much. You’ve seen it essentially become full of awfulness and all about attacking the left and not about actual principles. It has nothing to do with conservative ideology so much as it has with opposing the leftists, SJWs, and so on and so forth.”
Within days of his old statements coming to light, Yiannopoulos lost his spot at CPAC, his book deal, and his job at the ultra-conservative website Breitbart.
I am keeping the teen’s name and social media accounts out of the story because of her and her parents’ request to protect her safety, and will only refer to her as “Julia.” But we have confirmed her identity and her communications with the conservative blog that resurfaced the Yiannopoulos tape for a wide audience.

There’s no question that Milo has issues which stem from his own life experiences and what I think he did was attempt to rationalize his childhood exploitation.
That said, there’s no evidence that as an adult Milo engages in or condones pedophilia, nor do recent events spell the end of him as an icon of the alt-right.
Another publisher will produce Milo’s book, another platform will hire him to think and write, requests to speak on college campuses will continue to roll in.
Milo’s inherent value to the right is his ability to attract young minds to listen to his message, and he’s much tougher than the GOP cucks give him credit for.
Right on. Their self-righteousness is really disturbing, you can taste their hate yet claim to be of God. Look at how they’re talking to other FReepers with differing opinions. They continue to assert “he’s a pedo” - he is not. He’s never done anything of the sort. An edited video that is at odds with many things he has said (and this is ALL and ONLY *TALK*) in the past doesn’t matter to them. He has clarified and condemned pedophilia. Yet these folks don’t care, they just want to hate.
To hear them talk to other FReepers as “pro faggot” is incredibly childish too, nobody has condoned the homosexual lifestyle. We’re just understanding that we’re all flawed and Milo makes many of our points better than anyone here, in environments few would battle in (leftist hell holes that are willing to commit violence to stop him talking).
It is this holier than thou nastiness that has undermined Christians, it is not in the tone of any example of Christ.
My bet is that max is tired of poofters in general because he works in Hollywood and is annoyed by it all. Kind of like miss marmelstein has no more patience for them.

I meant to say that I’ve liked max’s posts in general. I’m pretty much a neutral in the Milo fight.
I can see how many conservatives would find his flagrant homosexuality to be a problem for them.
But I also see how Milo takes the battle to the Left.
For me politics is informed by religion, but it’s not identical to it- we make alliances with people whose values aren’t identical to our own. Everyone has to decide for themself where to draw that line.
I have always thought that Milo would undergo conversion therapy and come out as straight.

It completely escapes me why Milo supporters think that Milo dislikers are “Never Trumpers.” I am a forever Trumper and have been since the summer of 2015. I notice the President hasn’t exactly invited Milo to the White House - or even his rallies. Why is that? He once had Silk and Spice to a rally. I think, like most straight NYers, he’s had it up to his ears in screamers and doesn’t want to be called “Daddy” in public.

Agreed, just like the same crowd of homophiles promoted the queer marriage movement. It appears little milo was a twink—one of the little boys paced around the gay community for multiple rapings.
