Destin, Florida should have made the list.

Northwest Florida has the best beaches in the world.

Not one NC beach? You have to be kidding.

My favorite beaches are in NorCal and Oregon, none mentioned. Probably because it’s always cold. But the scenery and wildlife is spectacular and since there are not that many people at some of the beaches you can find some great shells in one piece.

What? No Dewey Beach in DE?

Honestly, not sure why something from Outer Banks was not included.

And to those detractors of Ocean City...Seacrets by itself should put it on the list!

These lists tend to be rather arbitrary.

I do like the “cheapest month to visit” feature. Race Point in January is freezing cold and Provincetown if it’s like other summer beach towns in Massachusetts will be dead, dead, dead - shuttered for the winter.

And then September is the cheapest time in Florida. A great bargain for hurricane enthusiasts.

The Gulf beaches at paradise.

White sand, warm water.

I’ve been to most of the FL beaches. I would not put Ft Lauderdale or Miami on my list. I can’t believe they left Hilton Head off the list.

“Northwest Florida has the best beaches in the world.”

We live in St. Pete Beach and have been all over FL, the east coast beaches from the Carolina’s to Maine, California, Hawaii, Mexico and the Carib.

We think your beaches up there right up with the best..great sand, good waves, great access. Awesome sunrises and sunsets.

I’ll throw my two cents in:

1. The black sand beach on Hana Bay on the island of Maui—particularly the part behind the Hana Kai Maui. Idyllic.

2. Papohaku Beach on the west end of Molokai. It is a golden strand two to three miles long, and it is possible that you will have it all to yourself. Not many people visit Molokai. When we were there, two other people were present. They soon left, leaving the entire beach for ourselves.

The qualifier here is US beeches.

If you are expanding the criteria world wide, Hawaii barely even makes the list.

ANY Pacific atoll leaves any US sandy spot sorely lacking. There simply is no comparison.

Between St. Pete Beach, FL (3 miles from my house) & Clearwater Beach, FL (15 miles from my house) I’ll take SPB any day ! Clearwater is one big traffic jam and I’m talking about the beach itself. The actual road system is a parking lot.

SBP is quiet and amazing. Actually, wander south of SPB to Pass-A-Grill and you’ll find quiet and amazing !

shhhhhhh!

It's a terrible place, only rednecks go there. You wouldn't like it, people. Go to Daytona. Or Fort Lauderdale.
