LIME SORBET MARGARITAS

Add Gold Tequila to a stemmed glass. Fill the glass 2/3 full with citrus-
flavored, carbonated soft drink (like Squirt). Add a scoop of lime sorbet.
Garnish with a sprig of mint and wedge of lime.

Good to know that lime oil in lime zest has a bit of natural sweetness in it.
That’s why a teaspoon of fresh lime zest is used in this sorbet recipe. This
is also a light dessert or a palate cleanser between courses.

Homemade French Lime Sorbet

Start making a lime simple syrup using cup water, cup sugar, cup fresh lime
juice. Gently BTB---but do not over boil. Cover the pan and then lower
heat slightly; cook about three minutes (sugar is dissolved). Cool offheat to
room temp. Last, stir in tsp lime zest. Chill at least two hours. Freeze in ice
cream maker, as per mfg.
