I was going to post a negative comment until I saw yours. Have not heard of any of these bands, except one, and while that is not necessarily bad, I will take issue with your assessment of Romeo Void. They had one beautiful tune, the Girl in Trouble mentioned in the article. The video is incoherent and sucks, but the music is really well done with an incomparable, jazzy sax solo in the middle of the tune and ending it. Listen here and change your mind if you never heard it: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=A+Girl+in+Trouble.%22&view=detail&mid=5769A3E8AFB3BF39A45F5769A3E8AFB3BF39A45F&FORM=VIRE
The sax player in RV was a good friend of mine, Ben Bosse, whom I played with for a lot of years pre-RV. One night they were coming out of a concert in Boston, I believe and somebody kicked a tin can sitting on the ground and it apparently was full of some kind of acid. It splashed on another band member’s face and they were seriously burned and it trashed the rest of their tour and probably led to the demise of the band.
Always hated their music, btw.
Just don't like the band.
"Back On The Streets" was 45 minutes of epicness.
