As smokingfrog found at their website, they use 00 buckshot with a Tac-12 A1 tactical shotgun by Firebird Precision.

I could see there was a spread on contact with the animal, but it isn't a traditional looking shotgun. Puzzle solved.

Those things are pricey. It looks like it's made with a few Saiga parts and the rest they manufacture themselves.
