I found myself standing in line next to Nichole Kidman at a Mall Food Court about 10 years ago. She had on sweats and no make-up. Fugly! It was one of my offspring that recognized her.
I met Elizabeth Hurley and Hugh Grant at the SkyBar at the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset in Hollywood in the late 90’s...two of the most beautiful/handsome people you’ll ever see in person that actually look like live in person and not just on screen.
I had a similar experience. About fifteen years ago. I ran into Uma Thurman in Central Park. She was no more than ordinary in both face and figure. It’s all in make up and camera angles. Back in the early ‘90s I went out with a model who was the girl on the Bud Lite cutouts found in many bars at the time. We would sometimes pass by her life size image standing there in red Baywatch swimsuit as we entered a sports bar, but no one would notice her. With the right make up and from a certain angle she was a knock out, but otherwise no. One talent she shared with other models and actresses, however, I admired, she had uncanny control over her weight. She was inclined to be a bit pudgy, but she could slim down to any weight in a week for an assignment.
