Buying a bad PC can happen to anyone. I've owned Dells for 20 years, and have four right now. I always buy direct from Dell Refurb.
Surprisingly, I did have a problem with a purchase two years ago, but Dell took care of me right away.

Five years ago, I bought an Alienware M18X laptop from refurb [$1300] and it was constantly having issues.
They dutifully tried to repair it, every time something else went wonky but it was never truly “right”, for any length of time.

Last year, Dell sent me a brand new, totally badass Alienware M18 [$4000] to finally just totally replace it.

I can’t say enough good things about their service.
