Major U.S. retailers Sears and Kmart this week removed 31 Trump Home items from their online product offerings to focus on more profitable items, a spokesman said on Saturday.
The decision follows retailer Nordstrom Inc's announcement this week it had decided to stop carrying Ivanka Trump's apparel because of declining sales, prompting President Donald Trump to take to Twitter to defend his daughter. White House spokesman Sean Spicer characterized the Nordstrom move as a "direct attack" on the president's policies.
Neither Sears nor Kmart carried the Trump Home products in their retail stores, a Sears Holdings Corp spokesman said. Kmart is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sears Holdings.
"As part of the companys initiative to optimize its online product assortment, we constantly refine that assortment to focus on our most profitable items," spokesman Brian Hanover said in a statement.
"Amid that streamlining effort, 31 Trump Home items were among the items removed online this week," he said, adding those items can be found through a third-party vendor, without providing additional information about the products.
The Trump Home collection includes lines of furniture, lighting, bedding, mirrors and chandeliers, some from makers who supply the items to Trump hotels, according to the collection's website.
Nordstrom's sales of Ivanka Trump's line of clothing and shoes fell by nearly one-third in the past fiscal year, with sharp drops in sales weeks before her father was elected president on Nov. 8, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday.

This is going to take the both of them further down.
I like your selling only made in America stuff idea. I wonder how to go about contacting one of Trumps sons and suggesting this? They could call it MAGA. (If Trump hasnt copyrighted it yet)
IDK. Perhaps get it trending on one of the family members twitter accounts? Decent chance one of the family members or those close will see it.
Do I feel a Boycott coming on?
I do, I do feel a Boycott coming on!
That’s going WAY back in time. One never hears about Shields and Yarnell anymore. They used to (annoyingly!) be everywhere on TV, doing their Marcel Marceau imitations.
To be honest this is possibly the stupidest thing I have heard / read in a long time. The products took up a few thousands 1s and 0s on a server somewhere with trillions of bytes of data storage. Why discontinue any active product if you control the search algorithm. Amazon has millions of products. This is a political statement.
I don’t have Twitter.
Not interested at all in social media.
FR is the extent of my online relationships.
I would think most retailers would drop the line. I sure would. This country is too divided to tick off half of your customer base.
I’m on it.
twitter is a swamp, but doing my part to drain it.
Thank you.
I’d be more than willing to patronize something like that.
FWIW, I just wrote a couple letters to the president today about immigration and healthcare.
First time I ever did it but this is the first time I ever felt like a letter would actually accomplish something.
LOL, so this is the Dems’ master plan to regain elected office, taking it out on Ivanka because her dad kicked their ASSES last November? What small minds. The Dems are their own worst enemies.
Yes, Sears just sold off their Craftsman tool line and their Diehard battery line. What’s left of any quality to buy there now? Right now, they’re also selling their baby clothes for 50% off. I guess our local Sears will be closing soon.

She has grace and class...Seems to me her name alone is worth money. There is an opportunity for money to be made...And jobs to be created. ;)
Who or what is the Sears Kmart thing and why should I be concerned?
Even Delta and Porter Cable tools are made in China, and their quality is steadily eroding.
The closest Sports Authority to me closed and has been vacant for about a year; I’m within a few minutes’ drive of TWO K-Marts, and was shocked when both survived the downsizing/store closings. The one in my town, which used to be a madhouse, became a ghost town after we also got a Wal-Mart; while I initially appreciated the better parking and fewer customers, this quickly contributed to far fewer employees. I recall waiting in the electronics department for someone to open a display case and handle the register. After about ten minutes, when half a dozen customers had clustered there, someone from a nearby jewelry counter came over and dealt with all of us...then returned to her area.
Haven’t been there is a while now...
I hope the go bankrupt.
It wont affect them, half of zero customers is still zero customers....
I just went to sears.com and did a search for Trump - looks like they have Trump home items and Ivanka items, but in a quick perusal of the 1st page, looks like all are sold through a 3rd party vendor.

We had one Kmart left. I went there instead of Walmart because it was never busy. Park by the front door and in and out. They closed it last month.
