Are we missing the boat? Forget terrorists, what happened to the screening of refugees for diseases? 22% of the resettled refugees in Minnesota tested positive for tuberculosis. Refugees have other diseases such as hepatitis B, parasites etc. Is there funding for the screening of all the refugees? Want to stop and slow down the flood of refugees, than check their medical background and test them.
I agree about screening for diseases. But ‘forget’ about terrorism? Not on your life.
Refugees my butt!! How about illegal aliens???????? They are killing children here with filthy diseases!!!!EVERY DAY!!

How about illegal invaders.
and parasites
I gree with you. I want my tax cut and I want to stop paying for other peoples health care but for God sake— stop these diseased aliens from entry !!
I saw a short film many long years ago about the purpose of the CDC and, using a fictitious example, how they used science and technology to find and isolate cases before even a localized epidemic can occur.
It seems like everything government has done for the past 25 is designed to hamstring the CDC from doing exactly that sort of pro-active screening, isolation, and eradication of diseases.
True that! I live in fairly small town and I know someone who contracted TB which was eradicated until the hordes of invaders crossed the southern border uncheck by the previous administration, and to be honest, the one before it.
I think they get a health screening, but I would like them quarantined a month or so to see who is unhealthy. Don’t need typhoid Mary type happenings.
They’re bringing in stuff we have eradicated from the US, for certain. What about the crap they’re bringing in that we’ve never had before? Stuff we may not have even seen before and are not prepared to treat?
I thought they were screened prior to be given permission to leave their point of origin?
Back in 1991 I wrote a wonderful, fully researched paper explaining and exposing AIDS as the first politically protected disease. I was at San Francisco State University, so the ‘teacher’ was as left-wing as could be. She refused to give me a solid A, it had to be an A-. But her comment beside the A- said it all...”well, I see you did your research.” Why we let anyone into our country with any disease drives me crazy. I am old enough to remember tiny sugar cubes and shots when I was very, very young. We have eradicated many diseases that still plague large parts of this Earth. Letting them back in is just another way the leftist creepozoids make us feel other people’s pain. To them, it is our fault and we should suffer for having progressed more than others. Creepozoids all.
Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, is criticizing the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for allowing refugees to enter the United States without screening and treatment for latent tuberculosis.
Seven of the agencys own public health experts said such screening and treatment would potentially save millions of dollars and contribute to United States TB elimination goals in a research article published in December.
