I read a heavily-sourced book last year about Hollywood life back in the day. Everybody was sleeping with everybody else at one time or the other. It’s good we didn’t know it at time, or it would have grossed us out (when we weren’t fantasizing about it).

It was astonishingly long ago when the phrase “don’t get caught with a dead girl or a live boy in your bed” was invented. Ironically, there were morals clauses everywhere, all powerful censors, and fairly strict social mores at the time, yet all kinds of stuff ran rampant.
