Doing a simply cursory look, it appears Atlanta is a crime zone compared to LA.

A bit dated stats, but no doubt have stayed relatively the same. Btw, these are not my statistics.

While lamenting at all the Northern liberals moving in and changing Atlanta, my very Southern father use to state that Sherman could burn Atlanta today and not hurt one true Southerner. (This also implies that Northern Conservatives are always welcome.)
