I don't see this happening in Foxboro should the Pats win but I do see the potential in Atlanta...win or lose.
If I had a shoe store in downtown Atlanta, I'd already have a UHAUL backed in loading up all my inventory and moving it to a safe sight.
Wait, what about flat screen TV stores? LOL
I agree. I don’t owe anybody a damn thing.
Seriously doubt it. When they won world series in 1995 out side of the party zone of Buckhead there was almost no visible celebration. As someone who was a falcons fan back when Bob Berry was the QB it would almost seem strange to utter the words “Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl Champions”.

It appears that, being a Californian, you don’t understand certain sociological phenomena pertaining to just when, where and why “victory riots” occur.
Hint: it ain’t in the south. Such behavior is a northern irrationality, going on a rampage just because you won a flippin’ game. Or, going on a rampage just because you lost a flippin’ game, for that matter.
If folks down south are going to make a scene over a game, it’s going to occur during or immediately following the game, in the venue itself.
Maybe you’re confused because it happens in Oakland, too. Well, I suspect a look at migratory patterns would tell the tale.
If you have visited OFTEN, you might have some anecdotal evidence to draw from.
I live here, and have for 15 years. Atlanta has some danger zones in the southern areas: East Point, College Park, places like that. But midtown? Nope. It's very sparsely populated on the weekends. And certainly most of the other areas are quite safe.
Georgia police DON'T PLAY, not even slightly, so I would expect any outbursts to be met with great exposure to pavement.
I expect little to nothing.
I do ask why you would. What exposure to Atlanta have you had?
I live near downtown Atlanta, about 2 miles from the Capitol. It never occurred to me that there could be a riot, whether the Falcons win or lose, until I read this thread.
Disappointment if the Falcons lose, but a riot, no.
I’ve heard the same about Block Bloc being in town. And I live just a mile and a half from the festivities. anyhow, I am prepared.
Houston may have been tipped off, but I do not put much stock in Chief Arthur Acevedo, after his track record in Austin.
Well being that we have teams from GA and MA both of those contingents will be inside. TX takes care of the rest.
Your not gonna even act stupid unless you want a night and day at the Houston Hilton.
The T is fine except for Kenmore Station. It’s sort of center of mass for college bars, and post game riots in the past. Remember a few years ago, a young woman was killed when she was hit in the eye by a tear gas canister fired by a State Police supervisor? I think that was a Red Sox celebration, but same dynamic. Mild temperatures and no precipitation forecast tonight.
Sherman had to tickle himself to look that relaxed.
Yeah, Billy and the Blueboys’ March To The Sea tour.
The Aftermath:
Sherman managed to work Atlanta into such a pants-soiling evacuation frenzy that a chunk of the city had actually blown itself up by the time he got there. Out of principle, he wrecked the rest up nevertheless.
He wasn’t asked back for an encore.
Visting friends for the game here in Missouri City. Ready here.
yeah South Carolina supposedly got it worse then Georgia.
If I remember correctly Sherman’s viewed SC as the place to personally blame the war on. I think Colombia SC got it worse then Atlanta.
Atlanta was just the warm up act. Forgive the pun.
Georgia is a red state. Massachusetts is a blue state. Try again.
The big cities are all blue.
I meant Sherman’s troops personally blamed SC.
Why would I try again.
Doctor.
The interior parts really got whacked from Aiken south and then North through the Laurinburg area.
Biggest choke job in history
