During the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday morning, President Donald Trump took time to request prayers for an old friend: Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Trump was introduced at the breakfast by Mark Burnett, producer and creator of “The Apprentice,” the series that first beamed Trump into American homes on a weekly basis.
The president called Burnett a “special, special friend” before pivoting to his concerns about the current ratings for “Celebrity Apprentice,” now hosted by Schwarzenegger.
“We had tremendous success on ‘The Apprentice,’” Trump said of his history with Burnett. “And when I ran for president, I had to leave the show. That's when I knew for sure that I was doing it. And they hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to take my place. And we know how that turned out.
“The ratings went down the tubes. It's been a total disaster, and Mark will never, ever bet against Trump again,” Trump added. “And I want to just pray for Arnold, if we can, for those ratings, OK?”
Schwarzenegger had an immediate response for Trump’s thoughts and prayers, suggesting that the two of them switch jobs.

The former governor of California announced in October that he would not be voting for the Republican candidate for president, for the first time since becoming an American citizen in 1983.
In January, Trump tweeted his concern about the ratings for “Celebrity Apprentice,” saying, “So much for … being a movie star — and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary.”

As much as I like Trump, I don’t understand tweet-wars like this. Seems silly, rather than a way of reaching the public. If he wants to goof on Arnold, he can send him an email.
Schwarzennegger has to be the most media-whipped republican ever. What a terrible governor.

That was what I was thinking myself.
Like it or not, Trump is still the show’s executive producer, every time he mentions Arnold and the show, we stokes curiosity and people will likely tune in to see what’s going on.
This Twitter “feud” will continue.

Arnold is playing along and will get a viewership bump.
Old news. Never deserved much fanfare even the first day. Trump meant it as a joke, anyway. Ahnold has done fair-to-middlin’ with the show. I think he’s trying to be Trump, which won’t work. We’ll wait and see if it has strong legs. The same plot, over and over may be getting a bit old. JMHO.
I can see this one coming from 100 miles away.
They are pals, and this is all a setup for the big reveal when Pres. Trump makes an appearance on The Apprentice and they have a mock-fight, like pro wrestlers, before big man hugs etc.
It’s all for PR in good fun. That’s my take.

I haven’t seen the new show and I really didn’t watch the old one but I am wondering if Arnold sez “You’re Terminated” instead of “You’re Fired”
Isn’t Trump still involved in the show or own rights to it somehow?
If so, he is using reverse phycology to drive rating up to share profits. He’s always two steps ahead of his detractors.
It is worse than bad, i had hopes it would be entertaining but it was nothing but LGTB advertising.

President Trump is increasing Arnold’s ratings and I’m sure he knows it.
I think this is joking. I really don’t think many have figured out President Trumps honor yet
