Any Freepers actually use AWS? Any feedback?

Price? - can you get it hourly?
Bare metal / OS choice?
How many cores and/or RAM is available on the upper end?

We use it heavily for government projects. It is expensive, but not significantly more expensive than the large-scale data center costs that were paid before the advent of the cloud.

(We're also working with Azure - the costs there are lower, particularly for Windows workloads, but it's not quite as full-featured or flexible as AWS is.
