Many are a little on edge to hear that the President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner has hired Gorelick to be his ‘ethics advisor’.
Perhaps the story on Gorelick was wrong the first time? If Jared Kushner who the President respects is being advised by Gorelick, maybe there are other views on Gorelick that have been missing? However, there are many many reports from all quarters, many that are quite reputable, that are warning Jared Kushner about Gorelick.
Gorelick is a lawyer and sometimes lawyers tie themselves in knots over legal theory mixed with exalted views of their own roles. Maybe Gorelick is knowledgeable about ethics. Maybe Gorelick has a professional charm that is highly appealing in person when discussing legal matters.
Lawyers and judges admire the brilliance of a legal jurist even if they flub up in political settings. Is Gorelick a brilliant legal jurist? The resume would appear to indicate yes.
I am testing how I might defend Gorelick but the context of 9/11 and the parallels with the moment of now make it a fool’s errand to defend Gorelick and by ‘Gorelick’ I mean all the types of democrats and establishment Ivy Leaguers like Gorelick.
It’s really not about Gorelick so much as it’s about Schumer, and Donnelly and all these people that play Russian Roulette with American lives.
Lawyers screw up sometimes. High profile lawyers with Ivy League degrees also screw up and when they do it can be catastrophic. I applaud Gorelick for being an Ivy Leaguer and making it through Harvard Law. But sometimes laurels of adulation fall down to blind the bearer. A high profile resume does not prevent the person on the resume from massively screwing up and worse, creating a deadly risk for innocent lives. I certainly hope Mr. Kushner adopts the viewpoints of Donald Jr. and Eric Trump. I am sure he has. My research on the Trump family is that no infighting is allowed and that mutual respect is a must. And if Ivanka Trump is happy being the wife of Jared Kushner, then we can be assured Jared is on our side. But still, questions linger about Gorelick. We need to know about the person of Gorelick and how she reflects back on her apparent misdeeds leading up to 9/11. We need that info.
Perhaps the context of Gorelick’s role in 9-11 needs closer examination? Maybe her actions in erecting the ‘information firewall’ were blown out of proportion (again foolishly wondering how to defend).
Whatever the case may be, the present business of protesting and trying to obstruct the President’s border and immigration policy can have DEADLY CONSEQUENCES. It is far too risky for democrats to be playing such deadly games with people’s lives.
Let’s put it in historical context. If President GW Bush had signed border and immigration executive orders pertinent to his first week in office similar to President Trump’s, it’s safe to say 9/11 would never have happened.
Remember the almost 3,000 Americans that were murdered on September 11, 2001 and in that context ask if President Trump is doing the right thing in issuing his Executive Order on borders and immigration.
President Trump wants to unite the country but some democrats are asking to be spanked. Perhaps ignoring the Brooklyn judge is the best course after all. I have doubts either way.

Great point that people must remember. It is far worse than that - Gorelick was part of the connected democrat elites who fudged the numbers that led to the housing crisis. She was paid tens of millions along with Johnson, Raines, and many more Clinton insiders to push lies to a complicit congress (Barney Frank who was living with an executive) and politicized regulators all in a scheme to make sure that poor people could afford middle class houses.
The true narrative about what happened has never settled on America. That is a shame because it involves so many avenues of folly and outright corruption. This group tanked our economy through criminal behavior (far worse) that was identical to what ponzi scheme Bernie did and government agencies were complicit in the crime for nothing more than liberal doctrine and the blocking actions of leftists in congress.
