Trump has always said he didn’t like the electoral college, before the election where he supposedly lost the popular vote.
I looked it up, and you are right. Trump bashed the EC in 2012. I give him credit for changing, however. This is what he said on Nov 15, 2016 :
“The Electoral College is actually genius in that it brings all states, including the smaller ones, into play. Campaigning is much different!”
