Probably the most ergonomic handgun ever made IMHO. Yes I know all of the arguments for the newer automatics, but the feel of the single stack in your hand, the way it grips when you bring it up on target, there just isn’t anything else like it.

I have not found any of the polymer guns I like nearly as much. The grip is great, it points very naturally and can be made very accurate.
If you have a chance for a side-by-side with a 1911 and a Lugar P.08...
Take each one in hand, look at a target and get it's location in mind, then close your eyes and bring the gun up to firing position.
Open your eyes and note which gun is naturally pointed closer to the bull's eye.
I'd be willing to bet that the Lugar would be the hands down winner, time after time.
But as you say, JMHO, and YMMV...

Speaking of ergonomics of 1911 pistols, I fired a Sig 1911 the other day with palm swell grip panels and now I think I need to procure some for one of my 1911s.
