A class to be offered this spring at Ohio State University is an identity politics-based course that in large part is focused on teaching students how to detect microaggressions and white privilege.

The assignment, according to a syllabus, calls on students to “find at least 12 examples of microaggressions using at least 3 different types of social media (e.g., Yik Yak, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest). Explain who the target of the microaggression is and why your group believes it is an example of a negative remark. Provide an example of how you might respond to such a comment.”

Yup . . . The only way to prove a hypothesis . . . is to look only at data that confirms ones belief system. Therefore, that which I am, that which I think must be true because I found an example confirming that I am and what I think to be true..

Wouldn’t it be a hoot to take that class and turn in a paper saying that despite a valiant effort, I was unable to find even two examples of microagression on ANY medium. I did, however, find numerous instances of anti-white, anti-conservative, anti-hetero bigotry. Do I get extra credit?

Am all in for self-awareness classes including studies of dissimilar thoughts, ideas and culture.

What I strongly oppose is the hypothesis and conclusion (white privilege, white fragility etc ) being part of a classroom objective with the purpose of proving something that only exist in the mind of a snowflake.

Will the class discuss 'Black privilege' and the societal advantages that people of color benefit from? Such as people of color are allowed to be racist?

Will the class discuss the cultural differences between Sharia law and Western law and the oppresive nature of muslim thought. For us un-educated folks who like to say . . . that ain't gonna happen!

The only "identity boundry" this class intends to cross is white guilt!

Alumni should all push back by getting their universities to remove all the useless social justice warrior classes that do not prepare their student for real life. Having these classes is a macro aggression against the student and student's parents by the professors, as well as a con game. People are borrowing money to attend these worthless classes. Parents are forfeiting their retirement years and working longer, which is servitude and a type of slavery instituted by the professors.
