In the olden days you could buy pills form Mexico for weight control. They contained dry tapeworm eggs or what ever to make you thin.
Had a horse a few years ago that kept getting thinner. The culprit was a tapeworm.
Yes, these non-FDA-approved capsules actually worked! They effective enough to be investigated by the gov’t (FDA I think) and were found to contain the tapeworm eggs. Ha.
