There are not many openings for college and university history majors. And the faculty are evaluated along liberal/socialist lines once hired. I would encourage her to major in something more job-ready.

That is exactly what my husband and I have told her (we are both engineers and favor business or technical degrees with liberal arts interests as a life long hobby pursuit). And in non humanties degrees it doesnt matter as much which university you attend, the courses dont lend themselves to cultural marxism brainwashing as much :).

Her community college history professor convinced her that with the right academic credentials and making the right connections you can get a job.
I just dont want her in there unless she is fighting on the right side.

And with the academic climate as it is right now, it is doubtful she could get hired if she stays solidly conservative.
Kind of a catch 22. How do we address the brainwashing of our kids in the current academic climate, without risking our college aged kids getting “turned” while they are pursuing that? And if no conservative kids go that route we guarantee there wont be any conservative history professors.
